Hart's Prairie, once owned by the sister of Dr Harold S Colton (Mary-Russell's husband), is a 245 acre preserve located 14 miles North of Flagstaff which has been donated to the Nature Conservancy. The preserve is most noted for its rare grove of Bebb Willows and also for its diverse wildlife population which includes herds of elk, deer, turkey, and many other numerous plants and bird species.
